2026 IBS Sustainability & Green Building Scholarship Application Now Open
The NAHB IBS Sustainability and Green Building Scholarship aims to provide emerging green builders exposure to the world of high-performance homes and help them jump-start their professional journey by attending the International Builders’ Show (IBS).
The scholarship is available to young professionals and/or emerging green builders between the ages of 25 and 35 to attend the 2026 IBS in Orlando, Fla., held Feb. 17-19, 2026. Scholarship recipients will receive $1,800 for travel expenses and full registration to maximize their experience, with access to numerous networking events, education sessions and opportunities to see the latest products in the industry.
2025 scholarship recipient Rachel De Las Casas, green building project manager at SK Collaborative, cited how beneficial the scholarship has been for her.
“The NAHB scholarship allowed me to experience one of the largest industry events out there, which expanded my understanding of the scale of the residential construction sector exponentially,” said De Las Casas. “I was able to build new relationships with attendees that have provided insight and support to me as a young professional in green building. I was also exposed to varying viewpoints from individuals that are building across the country in regards to how they deal with green building in their climate and market. It has ultimately allowed me to become a more well-rounded expert as I continue to build my career in construction.”
Interested applicants can apply online. A resume and cover letter are also required. Applications are due Oct. 20.
