The NAHB IBS Sustainability and Green Building Scholarship aims to provide emerging green builders exposure to the world of high-performance homes and help them jump-start their professional journey by attending the International Builders’ Show (IBS).

The scholarship is available to young professionals and/or emerging green builders between the ages of 25 and 35 to attend the 2027 IBS in Las Vegas, held Feb. 2-4, 2027. Scholarship recipients will receive $1,300 for travel expenses and full registration to maximize their experience, with access to numerous networking events, education sessions and opportunities to see the latest products in the industry.

For 2026 scholarship recipient Vice President of Construction at Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity Grace Weger, attending IBS had many benefits. 

“Attending IBS through this scholarship felt like an investment not just in my professional growth, but in the communities we serve,” said Weger. “It gave me the opportunity to learn from leaders across the industry and bring those ideas back to the mission-driven work we do every day.”

In addition to benefits outlined above regarding IBS, the scholarship recipient will also receive complimentary access to Home Innovation Research Labs’ NGBS Green PRO designation course, a roughly $450 value.
