Construction of The New American Home 2024, the official exhibit home of the 2024 NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS), is on track as the project has already passed mechanical, electrical and plumbing inspections.

The next major step is already underway as the build team is using several innovative insulation products and techniques to ensure the 7,722-square-foot home achieves the highest grades for energy efficiency.

The focus at this stage of the build is preventing radiant energy from coming into the home. Ultimately, the home is expected to achieve Emerald certification from the National Green Building Standard, as well as certification from ENERGY STAR, Indoor airPLUS and DOE’s Zero Energy Ready Home Program.

All 2024 IBS attendees will be able to tour The New American Home during show hours. The show is set for Feb. 27-29 in Las Vegas.
